We like to get things done and starting with £3,000 in 2009, we have now delivered successful projects & activities worth £1.2 million.

Meet The Team

  • Jon Clark

    Jon Clark

    Executive Director

    Jon has worked at a senior level in community forestry since 1990. He manages the charity, its finances & programmes; as a Landscape Architect & Town Planner, he also provides woodland planning, planting & management consultancy services.

  • Phoebe Fenton

    Phoebe Fenton

    Charity Support Officer

    Phoebe is an experienced office manager and has worked for WWF and an environmental consultancy. She provides financial support, manages our training programme and Social Media campaigns. 

  • Anna Brunton

    Anna Brunton

    Community Trees & Woodlands Officer

    Anna has worked in conservation since leaving college in 1994 and in woodland management since 2003.  Anna runs our Trees for Learning programme, the Lyde Green - Overscourt project and provides woodland skills training.

  • Nicola Ramsden

    Nicola Ramsden

    Health & Wellbeing Officer

    Nicola was a biologist and botanist before training to be a Forest School leader. Nicola delivers our expanding Woodland wellbeing programme, running woodland activities tailored to the needs of people with dementia, learning difficulties and mental health issues. She also works as an OT technician in mental health services where she leads nature walks and sensory activities.

    Forest School Level 1 Trainer

    Jon has worked for/ with the Forest of Avon Trust since 2010 running Forest School training and wellbeing activities. He now combines running his own business with delivering our Level 1 Forest School training and school activities. Previously, Jon lead a range of conservation groups in the Bristol area.  

  • Jackie Roby

    Jackie Roby

    Forest School Leader (Level 3) Trainer

    Jackie is a qualified teacher, forest school leader and trainer, an outdoor first-aider and has a PGDip in Education. Jackie runs Go Wild Education and we have worked with her since 2014 to run our Forest School Level 3 training. Prior to this, worked for many of Bristol's green institutions including the Avon Gorge and Downs Wildlife Project, Bristol Zoo and the Wild Place Project.

  • Rupert Goolden

    Rupert Goolden

    Outdoor First Aid Trainer

    Rupert became an ITC First Aid approved trainer in 2006 and set up Really Good First Aid: offering an extensive range of First Aid Courses and Qualifications throughout  the South West, for both urban and remote environments. We linked up with Rupert in 2014 to develop and run our Outdoor First Aid courses, great for Forest School and other outdoor leaders.

    Rachel Tomlinson

    Woodland Activities Leader

    Rachel has worked with us for 8 years delivering training and running woodland activities. Rachel works with Nicola Ramsden to deliver our Woodland Wellbeing activities for adults with learning disabilities, people with mental health needs and people with dementia.
